At the outset of every endeavour, you need love to overcome the difficulties you will meet; otherwise, you will become discouraged and let everything go. Once the initial difficulties have been dealt with and conquered by love, then comes the time for reflection and wisdom. If love is weak or lacking, wisdom will not have the conditions to express itself. Love prepares the best conditions for wisdom. When you love something, you want to study it, to know it, and thus your love leads you to explore the field. And when you love someone, you also want to understand them. Love provides you with the conditions for understanding, which is why it may be said that if you have no love, you will gain no wisdom.
