God has given us life, but to be truly alive, we have a …
God has given us life, but to be truly alive, we have a good deal of work to do. It is up to us to intensify this life that has been given to us, to make it more beautiful, more subtle, and more spiritual. There are many different levels of life. Those who remain on the lower levels can communicate only with the realities of that level. They cut the link with the Source, and gradually this disconnection leaves them feeling that nothing has meaning, that God does not exist. And this is quite natural: how can they grasp something of a higher reality? When we live at such a low level of consciousness, how can we rejoice in the existence of God? We do not feel Him either within us or around us. To feel divine life, we must first of all make our own life divine. It is the divine life within us that awakens the spiritual centres, which in turn enable us to feel the existence of God.
