Do you believe that when people say ‘I', they really know …

Do you believe that when people say ‘I', they really know what they are talking about ? When they say : ‘I am… (unwell or in good health, unhappy or happy) ; I want… (money, a car, a wife) ; I have… (such and such a wish, taste, opinion),' they really believe they are talking about themselves. That is exactly where they are mistaken. Since they have never analyzed themselves in sufficient depth to know their true nature, they identify themselves incessantly with this ‘I', which is represented by their physical body, their instincts, their desires, their feelings and their thoughts. However, if they seek to find their inner self through study and meditation, they will discover that, beyond the superficiality, this ‘I' they are looking for is an integral part of God Himself. The truth is that there is no multitude of separate beings, only one single Being who works through all beings, moving them and manifesting within them, even if they are not aware of it. The day they come to feel this reality, people will come closer to the divine Source whence all have their origin.
