If we are to know truth, we must first of all accept the existence of the Creator of heaven and earth. And if we are to benefit from his life, his light, his love and his force, we must establish a bond with him and enter into relationship with each of those qualities of which he is the unique and true source. The mere thought of his existence works beneficially on us. God… we can neither describe, explain, nor even conceive of him, but those who sincerely seek him, who strive to approach him by practising the virtues, feel his presence gradually manifest within them in the form of peace, light, love and force, and they are no longer within harm’s reach. So be very clear about this! You will never find truth outside of God, but you will never encounter God outside yourself. You can only find him within you, as a presence which vivifies and illuminates your entire being.
