So you want to meditate? That assumes you know the nature …

So you want to meditate? That assumes you know the nature of psychic work. First of all, know that it is harmful to force your brain to concentrate on a subject straightaway, for when you force things you do violence to the nerve cells, and the brain resists. So the first thing to do is to soothe all inner tension and remain passive, so to speak, watching all the while but almost like a neutral onlooker, as all your cells attune to one another. Of course, without training you won’t manage it that quickly, but eventually it will only take you a few seconds. The secret of good meditation is to work initially with gentleness, peace and love, and above all not to force anything. And once you feel that your mind is well disposed and recharged (for this passive attitude allows your mind to receive energies from the subtle planes), you can turn your thoughts to the subject of your choice.
