Good - it provokes hostile forces, but we must continue until we are victorious
When Initiates undertake a work of meditation and prayer for the good of humanity, they inevitably provoke hostile forces. But as they are well aware of this, they take precautions. It is not because we arouse hostility that we should stop working for the light, but we need to know how to withstand this hostility and continue with our work. If you want to live in peace, safe from all attacks, you mustn’t attempt to do anything out of the ordinary. Remain completely insignificant and unobtrusive, and nobody will say a word. But is this a solution: to give up doing something good just to be left in peace? No. In spite of the criticism, the difficulties, the opposition, and even persecution, you must carry on. Until you reach your goal, you will have to cope with many obstacles; but once you reach the summit, once you triumph, everyone will submit. So, it is important to know how things are, and not to give in, but to persevere until you are victorious.
