Nudity - it should be accompanied by a new understanding of the body
Now that there are fewer taboos concerning the naked body, more and more people are into nudism. There is nothing wrong with this, of course. It is good for the body to be exposed to light and air, but on the spiritual level this is not enough. The present-day notion of nudity needs to change. It should be accompanied by a new understanding of the physical body and an appropriate discipline that will help human beings to become more beautiful and more expressive both physically and psychically. Otherwise what is the point of being naked? It would be better to remain clothed—at least clothes hide our physical imperfections. We need a new culture in which human beings become aware that the true function of the physical body is to express the qualities of their psychic life. For the time being, people would do better to keep their clothes on and learn to control their instincts, passions and desires. In this way they will be preparing healthy and harmonious bodies capable of one day reflecting the beauty of their inner being.
