Red and white - the same divine energy polarized
Blood flows through our veins and arteries just as water flows through the arteries and veins of the earth to nourish it. Water is white, blood is red. Red and white are the two colours of the same divine energy manifested through the two principles: white for woman and red for man on the spiritual plane; and the reverse on the physical plane where red represents woman, and white man. When alchemists wanted to give an image of the two principles, they used the sun which is red, and the moon which is white. In point of fact, blood which is red, and water which is white, are not two distinct principles, but one principle that is polarized. The same is true of fire and light. Fire is red and light is white, but they are of the same nature. You might say that they are brother and sister, but also that one gives rise to the other. Light emerges from fire; it is fire that gives birth to light. Whereas blood comes from water; it is water that produces blood. So white produces red below, and red produces white above.
