Misfortunes - do not go around complaining to everyone

There are times when you find yourself sad, disappointed and despondent. This is normal. There are many circumstances in life that sadden us. The one thing you must not do at such moments is to complain to everyone, for in doing so, you close your inner doors to any improvement of your state. When someone offends you or treats you unfairly, you feel hurt, and this is natural. But if you go around telling everybody about it and feeling sorry for yourself, you will only make the pain worse. So, what should you do? Forget about the whole thing for a while, and when you meet your friends and neighbours, rather than telling them how mean someone was, and how they mistreated you, think instead of ways to help and encourage them. The kind words you say to others will do you good, and will help you to heal your wounds.*
